✧ I was with 'A'ishah when the Prophet ﷺ entered and said: Bring me water for ablution. She said: 'A'ishah and I rushed to the jug. She said: I beat her to it and took it myself. He performed ablution and raised his glance, or his eye, or his gaze toward me and said: You are from me and I am from you. She said: Then a man was brought, and he said: I did not do it, but it was said to me. She said: He had asked him on the pulpit: Who is the best of people? He said: The most knowledgeable of them in the religion of God, Mighty and Majestic, and the most devoted of them to his kin.
