حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ عَمْرَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ
كَانَ النَّاسُ عُمَّالَ أَنْفُسِهِمْ، فَكَانُوا يَرُوحُونَ كَهَيْئَتِهِمْ، فَقِيلَ لَهُمْ: لَوِ اغْتَسَلْتُمْ
Translation

✧ The people were workers for themselves, so they used to come to the Friday prayer in their working clothes. It was said to them: 'If only you would perform ghusl.'
