حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ عَنْ دَاوُدَ عَنْ عَزْرَةَ عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ سَعْد بْنِ هِشَامٍ قَالَ قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ
كَانَ لَنَا سِتْرٌ فِيهِ تِمْثَالُ طَيْرٍ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ حَوِّلِيهِ فَإِنِّي إِذَا رَأَيْتُهُ ذَكَرْتُ الدُّنْيَا وَكَانَتْ لَنَا قَطِيفَةٌ نَلْبَسُهَا نَقُولُ عَلَمُهَا حَرِيرٌ
Translation

✧ We had a curtain in which there was a bird statue. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to her, 'Change it, for whenever I see it, I am reminded of this worldly life.' We also had a velvet robe that we wore, and we used to say, 'Its design is made of silk.'"
