حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمٌ عَنْ تُبَالَةَ بِنْتِ يَزِيدَ الْعَبْشَمِيَّةِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

كُنَّا نَنْبِذُ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي سِقَاءٍ فَنَأْخُذُ قَبْضَةً مِنْ زَبِيبٍ أَوْ قَبْضَةً مِنْ تَمْرٍ فَنَطْرَحُهَا فِي السِّقَاءِ ثُمَّ نَصُبُّ عَلَيْهَا الْمَاءَ لَيْلًا فَيَشْرَبُهُ نَهَارًا أَوْ نَهَارًا فَيَشْرَبُهُ لَيْلًا

Translation

✧ We used to prepare nabidh for the Prophet ﷺ in a waterskin. We would take a handful of raisins or a handful of dates and put them into the waterskin, then pour water over them at night, and he would drink it during the day; or we would do it during the day, and he would drink it at night.
