machine translationMy father was asked about a hadith narrated by Abū Maʿshar, from Hishām b. ʿUrwah, from his father, from ʿĀʾishah, from the Prophet ﷺ, that he would not pray while he felt something in his belly. My father said: Abū Maʿshar did nothing [of value]; rather it is Hishām, from his father, from ʿAbdullāh b. al-Arqam, from the Prophet ﷺ. What Abū Maʿshar meant was the hadith of ʿĀʾishah which Ibn Abī ʿAtīq narrates from his father, from ʿĀʾishah, from the Prophet ﷺ: "None of you should pray when food is served, nor while he is holding back the two filthy things."

    in مسند أحمد, p. 24744
