✧ The wife of Rifa'ah al-Qurazi came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "I was married to Rifa'ah, and he divorced me with a final divorce. Then I married 'Abd al-Rahman b. al-Zubayr, but with him it is like the fringe of a garment." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ smiled and said, "Do you want to return to Rifa'ah? No, not until you taste his sweetness and he tastes your sweetness." Abu Bakr was with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and Khalid b. Sa'id b. al-'As was at the door waiting for permission to enter. He heard their conversation and said, "O Abu Bakr, do you not hear what this woman is saying openly in the presence of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?"
