حَدَّثَنَا صَفْوَانُ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي عُبَيْدٍ عَنْ عُمَيْرٍ مَوْلَى آبِي اللَّحْمِ قَالَ أَمَرَنِي مَوْلَايَ أَنْ أُقَدِّدَ لَهُ لَحْمًا قَالَ فَجَاءَ مِسْكِينٌ فَأَطْعَمَتْهُ مِنْهُ قَالَ فَعَلِمَ بِي فَضَرَبَنِي قَالَ
فَأَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَأَخْبَرْتُهُ فَقَالَ لِمَ ضَرَبْتَهُ؟ قَالَ أَطْعَمَ طَعَامِي مِنْ غَيْرِ أَنْ آمُرَهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْأَجْرُ بَيْنَكُمَا

✧ I came to the Prophet ﷺ and told him, and he said: 'Why did you strike him?' He said: 'He ate my food without my permission.' He said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'The reward is between you both.'
