حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ وَأَبُو أَحْمَدَ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَعْقِلٍ الْمُزَنِيِّ عَنْ بِلَالٍ قَالَ
أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أُوذِنُهُ بِالصَّلَاةِ قَالَ أَبُو أَحْمَدَ وَهُوَ يُرِيدُ الصِّيَامَ فَدَعَا بِقَدَحٍ فَشَرِبَ وَسَقَانِي ثُمَّ خَرَجَإِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ لِلصَّلَاةِ فَقَامَ يُصَلِّي بِغَيْرِ وُضُوءٍ يُرِيدُ الصَّوْمَ

✧ I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to call him to prayer. Abu Ahmad said: He intended to fast. He called for a cup, drank, and gave me to drink. Then he went out to the mosque for prayer and stood to pray without wudu', intending to fast.
