✧ When your brothers were struck down at Uhud, God, Mighty and Majestic, placed their souls in the crops of green birds that come to the rivers of Paradise, eat from its fruits, and take shelter in lanterns of gold in the shade of the Throne. When they found the pleasantness of their drink and food, and the excellence of their turning, they said: 'Would that our brothers knew what God has done for us, so that they would not be averse to jihad, nor hold back from war.' God, Mighty and Majestic, said: 'I shall convey it to them on your behalf.' Then God, Mighty and Majestic, sent down these verses to His Messenger: 'Do not think those who were killed [in the way of God are dead...].'"
