✧ We went out with 'Ali when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent him with his banner. When he drew near the fortress, its people came out to him and he fought them. A man from the Jews struck him and knocked the shield from his hand. 'Ali seized a door that was near the fortress and shielded himself with it. It remained in his hand while he fought until Allah granted him victory. Then he threw it from his hand when he was done. I saw myself among a group of seven, with me as the eighth, exerting ourselves to turn over that door, but we could not turn it over.
