✧ I saw in a dream, as a sleeper sees, as if I were drawing water from a well, and black sheep and light-colored sheep came to me. Then Abu Bakr came and drew a bucket or two, and there was weakness in them—and God forgives him. Then 'Umar came and drew, and it became a large bucket, and he filled the trough and gave drink to the thirsty. I have never seen a chief draw water better than 'Umar. I interpreted that the black sheep are the Arabs and the light-colored sheep are the non-Arabs.
