حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَوْهَبٍ وَأَبُوهُ عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ أَنَّهُمَا سَمِعَا مُوسَى بْنَ طَلْحَةَ عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ

أَنَّ رَجُلًا قَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، أَخْبِرْنِي بِعَمَلٍ يُدْخِلُنِي الْجَنَّةَ، فَقَالَ الْقَوْمُ: مَا لَهُ؟ مَا لَهُ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: أَرَبٌ مَا لَهُ قَالَ: تَعْبُدُ اللهَ لَا تُشْرِكُ بِهِ شَيْئًا، وَتُقِيمُ الصَّلَاةَ، وَتُؤْتِي الزَّكَاةَ، وَتَصِلُ الرَّحِمَ، ذَرْهَا قَالَ: كَأَنَّهُ كَانَ عَلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ.

✧ A man said: 'O Messenger of Allah, tell me of a deed that will admit me to Paradise.' The people said: 'What is with him? What is with him?' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'A need, what is with him?' He said: 'Worship Allah and do not associate anything with Him, establish prayer, give zakah, and maintain ties of kinship. Leave it.' It was as if he was on his mount.
