حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ
أَنَّ رَجُلًا قَالَ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ: أَخْبِرْنِي بِكَلِمَاتٍ أَعِيشُ بِهِنَّ، وَلَا تُكْثِرْ عَلَيَّ فَأَنْسَى. قَالَ: اجْتَنِبِ الْغَضَبَ، ثُمَّ أَعَادَ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ: اجْتَنِبِ الْغَضَبَ
Translation

✧ A man said to the Prophet ﷺ, 'Tell me some words by which I may live, but do not make them too many for me, lest I forget.' He said, 'Avoid anger.' Then he repeated it to him, and he said, 'Avoid anger.'
