حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ دَاوُدَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَابِرٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ عَنْ أَبِي الْبَخْتَرِيِّ عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ قَالَ
كُنَّا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي جِنَازَةٍ فَلَمَّا انْتَهَيْنَا إِلَى الْقَبْرِ قَعَدَ عَلَى شَفَتِهِ فَجَعَلَ يُرَدِّدُ بَصَرَهُ فِيهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ يُضْغَطُ الْمُؤْمِنُ فِيهِ ضَغْطَةً تَزُولُ مِنْهَا حَمَائِلُهُ وَيُمْلَأُ عَلَى الْكَافِرِ نَارًا ثُمَّ قَالَ أَلَا أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِشَرِّ عِبَادِ اللهِ؟ الْفَظُّ الْمُسْتَكْبِرُ أَلَاأُخْبِرُكُمْ بِخَيْرِ عِبَادِ اللهِ؟ الضَّعِيفُ الْمُسْتَضْعَفُ ذُو الطِّمْرَيْنِ لَوْ أَقْسَمَ عَلَى اللهِ لَأَبَرَّ اللهُ قَسَمَهُ

✧ We were with the Prophet ﷺ at a funeral, and when we reached the grave he sat at its edge and began to cast his gaze into it repeatedly. Then he said: "The believer is squeezed in it with a squeeze from which his shoulder straps slip, and the disbeliever is filled with fire in it." Then he said: "Shall I tell you of the worst of God's servants? The harsh, arrogant one. Shall I tell you of the best of God's servants? The weak and oppressed one, the possessor of two worn garments; if he swore by God, God would fulfill his oath."
