✧ Hudhayfah b. al-Yaman about the Prophet ﷺ

حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا شَرِيكُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ أَبِي النَّجُودِ عَنْ زِرِّ بْنِ حُبَيْشٍ قَالَ
قُلْتُ يَعْنِي لِحُذَيْفَةَ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ تَسَحَّرْتَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ قُلْتُ أَكَانَ الرَّجُلُ يُبْصِرُ مَوَاقِعَ نَبْلِهِ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ هُوَ النَّهَارُ إِلَّا أَنَّ الشَّمْسَ لَمْ تَطْلُعْ
Translation

✧ I said, meaning to Hudhayfah, "O Abū ʿAbd Allāh, did you have the pre-dawn meal (sahūr) with the Messenger of God ﷺ?" He said, "Yes." I said, "Could a man see the places where his arrows fell?" He said, "Yes, it was daytime, except that the sun had not risen."
