✧ Hudhayfah b. al-Yaman about the Prophet ﷺ

حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ أَخْبَرَنِي مَيْسَرَةُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ عَنْ الْمِنْهَالِ عَنْ زِرِّ بْنِ حُبَيْشٍ عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ قَالَ قَالَتْ

لِي أُمِّي مَتَى عَهْدُكَ بِالنَّبِيِّ ﷺ؟ قَالَ فَقُلْتُ مَا لِي بِهِ عَهْدٌ مُنْذُ كَذَا وَكَذَا قَالَ فَهَمَّتْ بِي فَقُلْتُ يَا أُمَّهْ دَعِينِي حَتَّى أَذْهَبَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَلَا أَدَعُهُ حَتَّى يَسْتَغْفِرَ لِي وَيَسْتَغْفِرَ لَكِ قَالَ فَجِئْتُهُ فَصَلَّيْتُ مَعَهُ الْمَغْرِبَ فَلَمَّا قَضَىالصَّلَاةَ قَامَ يُصَلِّي فَلَمْ يَزَلْ يُصَلِّي حَتَّى صَلَّى الْعِشَاءَ ثُمَّ خَرَجَ

Translation

✧ My mother said to me: 'When was your last contact with the Prophet ﷺ?' He said: I said: 'I have had no contact with him since such and such.' She became worried about me, so I said: 'O mother, let me go to the Prophet ﷺ, and I will not leave him until he asks forgiveness for me and for you.' He said: So I came to him and prayed Maghrib with him. When he finished the prayer, he stood to pray and kept praying until he prayed Isha, then he left.
