✧ Hudhayfah b. al-Yaman about the Prophet ﷺ

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ رِبْعِيِّ بْنِ حِرَاشٍ عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ قَالَ
كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِذَا أَوَى إِلَى فِرَاشِهِ قَالَ اللهُمَّ بِاسْمِكَ أَمُوتُ وَبِاسْمِكَ أَحْيَا وَإِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ قَالَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَحْيَانَا بَعْدَمَا أَمَاتَنَا وَإِلَيْهِ النُّشُورُ
Translation

✧ When the Prophet ﷺ went to his bed, he would say, 'O Allah, in Your name I die and in Your name I live.' And when he woke up, he would say, 'Praise be to Allah who gave us life after He caused us to die, and to Him is the resurrection.'
