✧ Hudhayfah b. al-Yaman about the Prophet ﷺ

حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ أَشْعَثَ بْنِ أَبِي الشَّعْثَاءِ عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ بْنِ هِلَالٍ عَنْ ثَعْلَبَةَ بْنِ زَهْدَمٍ الْحَنْظَلِيِّ قَالَ

كُنَّا مَعَ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْعَاصِ بِطَبَرِسْتَانَ، فَقَالَ: أَيُّكُمْ صَلَّى مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ صَلَاةَ الْخَوْفِ؟ قَالَ: فَقَالَ حُذَيْفَةُ: أَنَا. فَقَالَ سُفْيَانُ: فَوَصَفَ مِثْلَ حَدِيثِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ وَزَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ.

✧ We were with Saʿīd b. al-ʿĀṣ at Tabaristan, and he said, 'Which of you prayed the fear prayer with the Messenger of God ﷺ?' Hudhayfah said, 'I did.' Sufyān said, 'Then he described it like the hadith of Ibn ʿAbbās and Zayd b. Thābit.'
