حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ سِنَانٍ وَهُوَ أَبُو سِنَانٍ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ مَرْثَدٍ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

صَلَّى النَّبِيُّ ﷺ، فَقَامَ رَجُلٌ، فَقَالَ: مَنْ دَعَا لِلْجَمَلِ الْأَحْمَرِ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: لَا وَجَدْتَ؛ إِنَّمَا بُنِيَتِ الْمَسَاجِدُ لِمَا بُنِيَتْ لَهُ

Translation

✧ The Prophet ﷺ prayed, and a man stood up and said: 'Who will call for the red camel?' The Prophet ﷺ said: 'May you not find it. Indeed, the mosques were built for what they were built for.'
