✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ called Bilal and said: 'O Bilal, by what did you precede me to Paradise? I entered Paradise last night and heard the rustling of your footsteps ahead of me. I came upon a square palace of gold and said: "For whom is this palace?" They said: "For a man from the ummah of Muhammad." I said: "I am Muhammad; for whom is this palace?" They said: "For an Arab man." I said: "I am an Arab; for whom is this palace?" They said: "For a man from Quraysh." I said: "I am a Qurayshi; for whom is this palace?" They said: "For Umar ibn al-Khattab."' Bilal said: 'O Messenger of Allah, I never gave the call to prayer except that I prayed two rak'ahs, and I was never affected by ritual impurity except that I performed ablution at that time.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Because of this.'
