قَالَ سَمِعْتُ سُفْيَانَ بْنَ عُيَيْنَةَ يُسَمِّي النُّقَبَاءَ فَسَمَّى عُبَادَةَ بْنَ الصَّامِتِ فيهم قَالَ
سُفْيَانُ عُبَادَةُ عَقَبِيّ أُحُدِيٌّ بَدْرِيٌّ شَجَرِيٌّ وَهُوَ نَقِيبٌ
