حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ حَدَّثَنَا صَفْوَانُ حَدَّثَنِي حُمَيْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْيَزَنِيُّ أَنَّ رَجُلًا سَأَلَ عُبَادَةَ بْنَ الصَّامِتِ
أَنَّ رَجُلًا سَأَلَ عُبَادَةَ بْنَ الصَّامِتِ، عَنْ قَوْلِ اللهِ: لَهُمُ الْبُشْرَى فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا، فَقَالَ عُبَادَةُ: سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ، فَقَالَ: لَقَدْ سَأَلْتَنِي عَنْ أَمْرٍ مَا سَأَلَنِي عَنْهُ أَحَدٌ مِنْ أُمَّتِي، تِلْكَ الرُّؤْيَا الصَّالِحَةُ يَرَاهَا الْمُؤْمِنُ، أَوْ تُرَى لَهُ
Translation

✧ A man asked ʿUbādah b. al-Ṣāmit about the saying of Allah: For them are good tidings in the life of this world [Qurʾan 10:64]. ʿUbādah said: I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he said: You have asked me about something no one from my ummah has asked me about. It is the righteous vision that a believer sees or that is seen for him.
