✧ When the verse 'Those who hoard gold and silver and do not spend them in the way of God' was revealed, we were with the Messenger of God ﷺ on one of his journeys. Some of his companions said: What has been revealed about gold and silver has been revealed; if only we knew which wealth is best so we could acquire it. He said: The best of it is a tongue that remembers God, a heart that is grateful, and a believing wife who helps him in his faith.
