حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ عَنْ أَبِي الطُّفَيْلِ عَامِرِ بْنِ وَاثِلَةَ عَنْ مُعَاذٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ
كَانَ فِي غَزْوَةِ تَبُوكَ، إِذَا ارْتَحَلَ قَبْلَ زَيْغِ الشَّمْسِ أَخَّرَ الظُّهْرَ حَتَّى يَجْمَعَهَا إِلَى الْعَصْرِ، يُصَلِّيهِمَا جَمِيعًا، وَإِذَا ارْتَحَلَ بَعْدَ زَيْغِ الشَّمْسِ صَلَّى الظُّهْرَ وَالْعَصْرَ جَمِيعًا ثُمَّ سَارَ، وَكَانَ إِذَا ارْتَحَلَ قَبْلَ الْمَغْرِبِ أَخَّرَ الْمَغْرِبَ حَتَّى يُصَلِّيَهَا مَعَ الْعِشَاءِ، وَإِذَا ارْتَحَلَ بَعْدَ الْمَغْرِبِ، عَجَّلَ الْعِشَاءَ فَصَلَّاهَا مَعَ الْمَغْرِبِ

✧ During the expedition of Tabuk, if he set out before the sun declined, he delayed the noon prayer until he combined it with the afternoon prayer, praying them together. If he set out after the sun declined, he prayed the noon and afternoon prayers together, then traveled. And if he set out before sunset, he delayed the sunset prayer until he prayed it with the night prayer. And if he set out after sunset, he hastened the night prayer and prayed it with the sunset prayer.
