حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ سِمَاكٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ

لَقِيَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَاعِزَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ، فَقَالَ: أَحَقٌّ مَا بَلَغَنِي عَنْكَ ؟ قَالَ: وَمَا بَلَغَكَ عَنِّي ؟ قَالَ: بَلَغَنِي أَنَّكَ فَجَرْتَ بِأَمَةِ آلِ فُلَانٍ ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ. فَرَدَّهُ حَتَّى شَهِدَ أَرْبَعَ مَرَّاتٍ، ثُمَّ أَمَرَ بِرَجْمِهِ

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ met Ma'iz b. Malik and said: Is what has reached me about you true? He said: What has reached you about me? He said: It has reached me that you committed fornication with the slave woman of the family of so-and-so. He said: Yes. He turned him away until he testified four times, then he ordered that he be stoned.
