Translation

✧ I asked ʿAṭāʾ about a dinar for a dinar with a difference between them, and a dirham for a dirham. He said: Ibn ʿAbbās used to permit it. Ibn al-Zubayr said: Ibn ʿAbbās is narrating what he did not hear from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. This reached Ibn ʿAbbās, and he said: I did not hear it from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, but Usāma b. Zayd [did].
