✧ I used to write for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he said: “Write: ‘The ones who sit [among the believers] and the ones who strive in the path of Allah are not equal.’” Then ‘Abdullah b. Umm Maktum came and said: “O Messenger of Allah, I love striving in the path of Allah, but I have a disability, as you can see, and my sight has gone.” Zayd said: “The thigh of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ became heavy on my thigh until I feared it would crush it.” Then he said: “Write: ‘The ones who sit among the believers, other than those with harm, and the ones who strive in the path of Allah are not equal.’”
