✧ The Prophet ﷺ made a small room in the mosque of a mat and prayed in it for several nights until some people gathered around him. Then they missed his voice and thought he had fallen asleep, so some of them began clearing their throats so he would come out to them. He said: “What I saw of your behavior has not ceased to concern me until I feared it would be made obligatory upon you. And if it had been made obligatory upon you, you would not have been able to fulfill it. So pray, O people, in your homes, for the best prayer of a person is in his home, except the prescribed prayer.”
