✧ I saw Abu Dharr wearing a fine garment—Hajjaj said: at al-Rabadhah—and his servant had on the like of it. Hajjaj said another time: So I asked him about that. He mentioned that he had insulted a man during the time of the Messenger of God ﷺ and reviled him by his mother. He said: The man came to the Prophet ﷺ and mentioned that to him. The Prophet ﷺ said to him: “You are a man in whom there is ignorance. Your brothers are your servants; God has placed them under your hands. So whoever has his brother under his hand, let him feed him from what he eats, clothe him from what he wears, and do not burden them with what overcomes them. If you burden them, then help them.”
