حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ السِّخْتِيَانِيِّ وَخَالِدٍالْحَذَّاءِ عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ كِلَاهُمَا ذَكَرَهُ خَالِدٌ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ بُجْدَانَ وَأَيُّوبُ عَنْ رَجُلٍ عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ
أَنَّ أَبَا ذَرٍّ، أَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ وَقَدْ أَجْنَبَ، فَدَعَا لَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بِمَاءٍ، فَاسْتَتَرَ وَاغْتَسَلَ، ثُمَّ قَالَ لَهُ: إِنَّ الصَّعِيدَ الطَّيِّبَ وَضُوءُ الْمُسْلِمِ، وَإِنْ لَمْ يَجِدِ الْمَاءَ عَشْرَ سِنِينَ، وَإِذَا وَجَدَ الْمَاءَ فَلْيُمِسَّهُ بَشَرَتَهُ، فَإِنَّ ذَلِكَ هُوَ خَيْرٌ

✧ Abu Dharr came to the Prophet ﷺ in a state of major ritual impurity. The Prophet ﷺ called for water for him, and he concealed himself and bathed. Then he said to him: Pure earth is the ablution of the Muslim, even if he does not find water for ten years. But when he finds water, let him apply it to his skin, for that is better.
