✧ I entered upon Khabbab while he had cauterized himself. He said: I do not know anyone who has faced affliction like I have faced. During the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, I did not have a single dirham, and now in the corner of my house I have forty thousand. Were it not that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade us, or forbade, from wishing for death, I would have wished for it.
