حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ عَنْ سِمَاكٍ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ
قَدِمَتْ عِيرٌ الْمَدِينَةَ، فَاشْتَرَى النَّبِيُّ ﷺ مِنْهَا، فَرَبِحَ أَوَاقِيَّ، فَقَسَّمَهَا فِي أَرَامِلِ بَنِي عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ، وَقَالَ: لَا أَشْتَرِي شَيْئًا لَيْسَ عِنْدِي ثَمَنُهُ
Translation

✧ A caravan arrived in Madinah, and the Prophet ﷺ bought from it and made a profit of some uqiyyas, then he distributed it among the widows of Banu 'Abd al-Muttalib, and said: "I will not buy anything for which I do not have the price."
