حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ سَمُرَةَ يَقُولُ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَجْلِسُ بَيْنَ الْخُطْبَتَيْنِ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَيَخْطُبُ قَائِمًا وَكَانَتْ صَلَاتُهُ قَصْدًا وَخُطْبَتُهُ قَصْدًا وَيَقْرَأُ آيَاتٍ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ

✧ I heard Jabir b. Samura say: The Prophet ﷺ used to sit between the two sermons on Friday and deliver the sermon standing. His prayer was moderate and his sermon was moderate, and he would recite verses of the Qur'an on the pulpit.
