حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ الْجَزَرِيُّ عَنْ نَاصِحٍأَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لَأَنْ يُؤَدِّبَ الرَّجُلُ وَلَدَهُ أَوْ أَحَدُكُمْ وَلَدَهُ خَيْرٌ لَهُ مِنْ أَنْ يَتَصَدَّقَ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ بِنِصْفِ صَاعٍ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لَمْ يُخَرِّجْهُ أَبِي فِي مُسْنَدِهِ مِنْ أَجْلِ نَاصِحٍ لِأَنَّهُ ضَعِيفٌ فِي الْحَدِيثِ وَأَمْلَاهُ عَلَيَّ فِي النَّوَادِرِ

✧ The Prophet ﷺ said: For a man to discipline his child—or for one of you to discipline his child—is better for him than giving charity every day with half a sa'. Abdullah said: My father did not include this hadith in his Musnad because of Nasih, for he is weak in hadith, but he dictated it to me in al-Nawadir.
