حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ حَدَّثَنَا سِمَاكٌعَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ
مَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَطُّ يَخْطُبُ فِي الْجُمُعَةِ إِلَّا قَائِمًا فَمَنْ حَدَّثَكَ أَنَّهُ جَلَسَ فَكَذِّبْهُ فَإِنَّهُ لَمْ يَفْعَلْ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَخْطُبُ ثُمَّ يَقْعُدُ ثُمَّ يَقُومُ فَيَخْطُبُ كَانَ يَخْطُبُ خُطْبَتَيْنِ يَقْعُدُ بَيْنَهُمَا فِي الْجُمُعَةِ

✧ I never saw the Messenger of God ﷺ deliver the Friday sermon except standing. Whoever tells you that he sat, then call him a liar, for he did not do that. The Prophet ﷺ would deliver the sermon, then sit, then stand and deliver the sermon. He would deliver two sermons, sitting between them on Friday.
