حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ عَنْ سِمَاكٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ
شَهِدْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ مِائَةِ مَرَّةٍ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ وَأَصْحَابُهُ يَتَذَاكَرُونَ الشِّعْرَ وَأَشْيَاءَ مِنْ أَمْرِ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ فَرُبَّمَا تَبَسَّمَ مَعَهُمْ
Translation

✧ I attended with the Prophet ﷺ more than a hundred times in the mosque while his companions were reciting poetry and discussing matters from the days of Jahiliyyah. Sometimes he would smile with them.
