حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ سَرْجِسَ

أَنَّهُ كَانَ رَأَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ. قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا سَافَرَ قَالَ: اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ الصَّاحِبُ فِي السَّفَرِ، وَالْخَلِيفَةُ فِي الْأَهْلِ، اللَّهُمَّ اصْحَبْنَا فِي سَفَرِنَا وَاخْلُفْنَا فِي أَهْلِنَا، اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ وَعْثَاءِ السَّفَرِ، وَكَآبَةِ الْمُنْقَلَبِ، وَمِنَ الْحَوْرِ بَعْدَ الْكَوْنِ، وَدَعْوَةِ الْمَظْلُومِ، وَسُوءِ الْمَنْظَرِ فِي الْأَهْلِ وَالْمَالِ

Translation

✧ He had seen the Prophet ﷺ. He said: When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ traveled, he would say: "O Allah, You are the Companion in travel and the Successor over the family. O Allah, accompany us in our journey and succeed us in our family. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the hardship of travel, the gloom of return, from loss after being, the supplication of the wronged, and an evil sight in family and property."
