machine translationHe was asked about the hadith of al-Anṣārī Muḥammad b. ʿAbdullāh, from Hishām b. Ḥassān, from Muḥammad b. Sīrīn, from Anas, from the Prophet ﷺ, concerning sciatica (ʿirq al-nasā). He said: This is an error (wahm). It was narrated by al-Walīd b. Muslim, from Hishām b. Ḥassān, from Anas b. Sīrīn, from Anas, who said: The Messenger of God ﷺ said. He said: This is a mistake with this chain. The hadith is what Ḥammād b. Salamah narrated, from Anas b. Sīrīn, from his brother Maʿbad b. Sīrīn, from a man of the Anṣār, from the Prophet ﷺ. My father said: And this is more sound (aṣaḥḥ).
