حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَوْنٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو رَمْلَةَ عَنْ مِخْنَفِ بْنِ سُلَيْمٍ قَالَ رَوْحٌ الْغَامِدِيُّ
[قَالَ: ] وَنَحْنُ وُقُوفٌ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ بِعَرَفَةَ فَقَالَ: يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ، إِنَّ عَلَى أَهْلِ كُلِّ بَيْتٍ فِي كُلِّ عَامٍ أَضْحَاةً وَعَتِيرَةً، أَتَدْرُونَ مَا الْعَتِيرَةُ ؟ هِيَ الَّتِي يُسَمِّيهَا النَّاسُ الرَّجَبِيَّةَ

machine translationIbn ʿAwn narrates it from Abū Ramlah from Mikhnaf b. Sulaym. Sulaymān al-Taymī narrated it from a companion of his, who is ʿAbdullāh b. ʿAwn, from Abū Ramlah, and he said: from Mikhnaf b. Sulaym or Sulaym b. Mikhnaf. Ibn Jurayj also narrated this hadith, and there is disagreement about him. Yaḥyā b. Saʿīd al-Umawī narrated it from Ibn Jurayj from ʿAbd al-Karīm from Ḥabīb b. Mikhnaf al-Ghāmidī from his father. Abū ʿĀṣim differed from them: he narrated it from Ibn Jurayj and traced it back through Ḥabīb b. Mikhnaf without mentioning his father. The hadith of Yaḥyā b. Saʿīd al-Umawī is closer to being correct.
