حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْأُمَوِيُّ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَالِيَةِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي مَنْ
لِكُلِّ سُورَةٍ حَظُّهَا مِنَ الرُّكُوعِ وَالسُّجُودِ. قَالَ: ثُمَّ لَقِيتُهُ بَعْدُ فَقُلْتُ: إِنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ كَانَ يَقْرَأُ فِي الرَّكْعَةِ بِالسُّوَرِ، فَتَعْرِفُ مَنْ حَدَّثَكَ بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثَ ؟ قَالَ: إِنِّي لَأَعْرِفُهُ وَأَعْرِفُ مُنْذُ كَمْ حَدَّثَنِيهِ
Translation

✧ I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying that every surah has its share from the bowing and prostration (during prayer). Then I met him later and said, "Indeed, Ibn Umar used to recite (more) surahs in each unit of prayer. Do you know who told you this hadith?" He replied, "Indeed, I know it and I know since when it was narrated to me. It has been narrated to me for fifty years."
