✧ The new moon of Shawwāl was obscured from us, so we began the morning fasting. Then a group of riders came at the end of the day and testified before the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that they had seen the new moon yesterday. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered the people to break their fast that day and to go out for their Eid the next day.
