Translation

✧ Ma'qil b. Yasar fell ill with a severe illness, and Ibn Ziyad came to visit him. He said: 'I will tell you a hadith I heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He said: "Whoever is entrusted with a flock and does not surround them with sincere counsel will not find the scent of Paradise, and its scent is found from a distance of a hundred years' journey."'
