حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ حَدَّثَنِي عِيَاضٌ أَبُو خَالِدٍ قَالَ كَانَ بَيْنَ جَارَيْنِ لمَعْقِلِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ كَلَامٌ فَصَارَتِ الْيَمِينُ عَلَىأَحَدِهِمَا فَسَمِعْتُ مَعْقِلَ بْنَ يَسَارٍ يَقُولُ

كَانَ بَيْنَ جَارَيْنِ لِمَعْقِلِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ كَلَامٌ، فَصَارَتِ الْيَمِينُ عَلَى أَحَدِهِمَا، فَسَمِعْتُ مَعْقِلَ بْنَ يَسَارٍ يَقُولُ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: مَنْ حَلَفَ عَلَى يَمِينٍ يَقْتَطِعُ بِهَا مَالَ أَخِيهِ، لَقِيَ اللهَ وَهُوَ عَلَيْهِ غَضْبَانُ

✧ There was a dispute between two neighbors of Ma'qil b. Yasar, and the oath fell upon one of them. So I heard Ma'qil b. Yasar say: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Whoever swears an oath by which he seizes the property of his brother, he will meet Allah while He is angry with him."
