حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ عَدِيٍّ أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ حُصَيْنِ بْنِ قَبِيصَةَعَنْ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ قَالَ
سَأَلَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ يَخْطُبُ فَقَطَعَ عَلَيْهِ خُطْبَتَهُ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَا تَقُولُ فِي الضِّبَابِ؟ فَقَالَ مُسِخَتْ أُمَّةٌ مِنْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ فَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ فِي أَيِّ الدَّوَابِّ مُسِخَتْ

✧ A bedouin asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was delivering a sermon, and he interrupted his sermon. He said: 'O Messenger of Allah, what do you say about mastigure lizards?' He said: 'A nation among the Children of Israel was transformed, and Allah knows best into which animals they were transformed.'
