حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كَامِلٍ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يَسْكُتُ سَكْتَتَيْنِ إِذَادَخَلَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ وَإِذَا فَرَغَ مِنَ الْقِرَاءَةِ فَأَنْكَرَ ذَلِكَ عِمْرَانُ بْنُ حُصَيْنٍ فَكَتَبُوا إِلَى أُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ يَسْأَلُونَهُ عَنْ ذَلِكَ فَكَتَبَ أَنْ صَدَقَ سَمُرَةُ
Translation

✧ The Prophet ﷺ used to pause twice: when he entered the prayer and when he finished the recitation. 'Imran b. Husayn disapproved of that, so they wrote to Ubayy b. Ka'b asking him about it, and he wrote back: 'Samurah has spoken the truth.'
