حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمٌ حَدَّثَنَا الْمُبَارَكُ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عِمْرَانُ بْنُ حُصَيْنٍ قَالَ

أُتِيَ بِرَجُلٍ أَعْتَقَ سِتَّةَ مَمْلُوكِينَ عِنْدَ مَوْتِهِ، وَلَيْسَ لَهُ مَالٌ غَيْرُهُمْ، فَأَقْرَعَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بَيْنَهُمْ، فَأَعْتَقَ اثْنَيْنِ، وَأَرَقَّ أَرْبَعَةً

Translation

  3. al-Ḥasan
  4. ʿImrān b. Ḥuṣayn

✧ A man was brought who had freed six slaves at his death, and he had no wealth besides them. The Prophet ﷺ drew lots among them, freed two, and kept four enslaved.
