✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said while on one of his journeys, when the traveling pace of his companions had become uneven, raising his voice with these two verses: 'O mankind, fear your Lord. Indeed, the convulsion of the Hour is a terrible thing. On the day you see it, every nursing mother will forget her nursing...' until he reached the end of the two verses. He said: When his companions heard that, they urged their mounts and knew he was about to say something. When they gathered around him, he said: 'Do you know what day that is? That is the day Adam will be called, and his Lord, Blessed and Exalted, will call him: "O Adam, send a delegation to the Fire." He will say: "O Lord, what is the delegation of the Fire?" He said: "From every thousand, nine hundred and ninety-nine to the Fire, and one to Paradise."' He said: His companions became despondent until they did not even smile. When he saw that, he said: 'Work and rejoice, for by the One in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, you are with two creations that have never been with anything except that they made it numerous: Gog and Magog, and those who have perished from the descendants of Adam and the descendants of Iblis.' He said: Then their anxiety was relieved. Then he said: 'Work and rejoice, for by the One in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, you are among mankind only like a mole on the side of a camel, or a mark on the foreleg of a beast.'
