حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الْمُهَلَّبِعَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ

أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَعْتَقَ سِتَّةَ مَمْلُوكِينَ لَهُ عِنْدَ مَوْتِهِ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ مَالٌ غَيْرُهُمْ، فَدَعَا بِهِمْ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَجَزَّأَهُمْ أَثْلَاثًا، ثُمَّ أَقْرَعَ بَيْنَهُمْ فَأَعْتَقَ اثْنَيْنِ وَأَرَقَّ أَرْبَعَةً، وَقَالَ لَهُ قَوْلًا شَدِيدًا

Translation

✧ A man freed six of his slaves at the time of his death, and he had no property besides them. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ called for them, divided them into three shares, then cast lots among them and freed two and kept four enslaved, and he spoke harshly to him.
