✧ Would that I could see a man from the Companions of Muhammad ﷺ who would tell me about the Kharijites. He said: I met Abu Barzah among a group of the Companions of Muhammad ﷺ and said: Tell me something you heard from the Messenger of God ﷺ about the Kharijites. He said: I shall tell you something that my ears heard and my eyes saw. The Messenger of God ﷺ was brought some dinars and he divided them. There was a man with close-cropped hair, dark-skinned—or black—with the mark of prostration between his eyes, wearing two white garments. He kept approaching him from his right side, trying to get his attention, but he gave him nothing. He said: O Muhammad, you have not been just today in the division. He became intensely angry and said: By God, after me you will not find anyone more just to you than me—three times. Then he said: From the east will come men as if this man is one of them. Their manner is like this. They recite the Quran but it does not go beyond their collarbones. They pass through the religion as an arrow passes through its target, then they do not return to it. Their mark is shaving. They will keep emerging until the last of them emerges with the Dajjal. When you meet them, kill them. They are the worst of creation and creatures.
