✧ We were with the Messenger of God ﷺ on a military expedition, and we hastened the return and obtained good spoils. When we overlooked the town, a man among us began to say the takbir. He said: I think he said: at the top of his voice. The Messenger of God ﷺ said: O people, and he began gesturing with his hand like this—and Yazid described it as if he was pointing—so the Messenger of God ﷺ said: O people, you are not calling upon one who is deaf or absent. The One you call upon is closer than the heads of your mounts. Then he said: O Abdullah b. Qays, or O Abu Musa, shall I not guide you to a word from the treasures of Paradise? I said: Yes, O Messenger of God. He said: Say: There is no power and no strength except with God.
